These microprocessor controlled DC-DC converters use switch-mode
technology to safely operate 12V DC equipment from onboard 24V
power systems. The MAC converter has two main functions: to convert
24V from the onboard power system to 12V for navigation and
communication equipment or to charge a 12V DC battery with a
three-step charge characteristic. The MAGIC model offers full
galvanic isolation between the input and output circuitry which
filters out interference for more reliable electronic component
performance. The MAGIC model can be used as a stabilized 12V power
supply from a 24V battery bank, to charge a 12V battery with a
three-step charge characteristic or as a 24V to 24V
isolator/stabilizer in a 24V DC system. Both models function as an
energy-efficient dimmer for up to 250 watt, multiple light
installations and include a communication port for remote
control.
